How to Get to Donostia / San Sebastián

✈️ From Bilbao Airport (BIO)

The easiest option is the direct bus D050B operated by PESA/Avanza, which departs from outside the arrivals terminal every hour and arrives at the central bus station in Donostia in approximately 1h 15min. Tickets can be purchased online at online.pesa.net, from the ticket machine at the airport (card only), or from the driver (cash only).

✈️ From Biarritz Airport (BIQ)

Several bus operators run direct services from Biarritz Airport to Donostia / San Sebastián, including BlaBlaBus, FlixBus, and ALSA. The journey takes approximately 40–60 minutes. Tickets can be booked directly through each operator’s website or via platforms such as Omio or Busbud.

✈️ From Vitoria-Gasteiz Airport (VIT)

There is no direct bus from Vitoria Airport to Donostia. Take the airport shuttle into Vitoria-Gasteiz city centre, then catch a direct bus to Donostia / San Sebastián from the central bus station (operated by ALSA or Avanza Gipuzkoa, ~1h 20min). Total journey time is approximately 2h 30min.

Conference Dinner

We will have the conference dinner at a cider house.

A txotx experience is a traditional Basque cider-house ritual that takes place mainly in Gipuzkoa during the cider season.
The word “txotx” literally means the wooden peg used to close the cider barrel. When the cider maker shouts “Txotx!“, everyone approaches the barrel to catch the freshly poured cider straight from the spout into their glass.

The experience includes a traditional menu (vegetarian/vegan option also available)
